      Discussions about coordinating/linking our efforts, better communication, new courses, site license issues, UCGIS Summer Assembly hosted here in Oregon, etc.

    17. Presentations at Corvallis and Albany Schools - Coordinated by Erin Hille
      The goal of this event is to educate school children how geography through the technology of GIS affects their everyday lives. Possible activities/steps include:
      • Geosciences and MRM grads volunteering to speak to schools
      • Short lecture/demonstration about how to create a map using GIS.

    18. City of Corvallis GIS Day Events
      • Internal Open House for City of Corvallis staff, including a "What is GIS" slide show and demonstration of their new Map Objects web-GIS interface.
      • Staffers making full day class visits to Western View Elementary School that week.
