Mike Gerstenberger

 

I was born and raised in a rural Oregon timber dependent community and I’m still timber dependent. I’m OSU ’77 Geography and Masters ’79 from the lesser institution down the road. I have spent my working life in the timber/lumber industry, beginning as a logger at age 16, cabinet maker, log scaler, sawyer, mill manager, lobbyist, consultant to 3 foreign governments and built 7 sawmills and re-manufacturing plants. I am currently a major stockholder and General Manager of Timberlake Trading(lumber brokerage) and Clearwood Processing (lumber re-manufacturing). Both companies focus on imported woods form Africa and South America. My wife Judy and I have been married for 27 years. I have 2 daughters, Emmalee and Kathryn, and a new grand daughter, Jayden.
