Brian F. Butler, L.G. (OSU Class of 1975)

 

Brian Butler is a Senior Associate geologist at Landau Associate, Inc., an environmental, and geotechnical engineering, consulting firm, headquartered in Edmonds, Washington, with satellite offices in Tacoma and Spokane, and Portland, Oregon. He has over 18 years of experience providing environmental and geocscience consultation in the Pacific Northwest. Brian assists ports, industries, and government clients with environmental, engineering geology and permitting projects related to development and operation of facilities. He is a technical staff manager and member of Landau Associates’ Board of Directors. In addition to consulting, his professional experience includes mineral exploration and service as an officer in the United States Navy.

Brian received his B.S. (Geology), from Oregon State University, and his M.M.A. (Marine Affairs) and M.S. (Geological Sciences) from the University of Washington. He is a Licensed Geologist in Washington with engineering geology and hydrogeology specialties, and a Registered Professional Geologist in Oregon and Idaho.

Brian lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife Rebecca, and their two sons Evan and Thomas. He enjoys exploring the Northwest with his family.
